Here are five challenges I’ve designed, perfect for small groups of friends, family, or coworkers. They’re simple, need little equipment, and can be done anywhere—park, gym, or even a hotel courtyard in Guwahati.
- Partner Plank Push-Up Challenge
Face a partner in plank position. Do a push-up, then high-five with opposite hands. Alternate for 1 minute. I tried this in Mumbai—my core and arms burned! Aim for 3 rounds, resting 30 seconds between. - Squat Relay Race
In a circle, one person does 10 squats, then tags the next. Everyone goes twice. We did this in Delhi’s parks—my group loved the competition! Complete 2 full cycles, aiming to beat your time. - Lunge and Pass Challenge
Stand in a line, holding a water bottle. Lunge forward, pass the bottle to the next person, and repeat. I used this in Karnataka—it strengthened legs and coordination. Do 5 passes per person, 2 rounds. - Group Burpee Countdown
Together, do 10 burpees, then 9, down to 1. Cheer each other on! My Amritsar crew laughed through the struggle—it’s a full-body burner. Rest as needed, but aim to finish together. - Circle Core Hold
Sit in a circle, facing outward, and hold a boat pose (legs up, core tight) for 30 seconds. Rest, repeat 3 times. I did this in Guwahati—my abs were on fire! Support each other to hold longer each round.
